Mr. Di Minico

I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Bangor Area Middle School and am excited to work alongside our outstanding students, families, faculty, and staff.

I bring 31 years of experience in education, including 24 years serving the Bangor Area School District. Prior to joining Bangor, I taught at Newton High School in Newton, New Jersey. Throughout my career, I have served as a high school choral director and musical theatre director, fostering students' musical talents while emphasizing teamwork, leadership, discipline, and personal growth. As a proud resident of Bangor, I am deeply invested in our community and committed to helping every student succeed.

I earned my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Susquehanna University and later completed a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership at the College of Saint Elizabeth. Over the past 26 years, I have directed numerous musical theatre productions that have earned both Freddy Award nominations and Freddy Awards, reflecting the dedication and collaborative efforts of our talented students, staff, and community.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dogs, as well as visiting New York City to see Broadway musicals. Outside of school, one of my greatest joys is attending the many outstanding music performances and athletic events throughout the Bangor Area School District. Supporting our talented students and celebrating their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of being a member of the Bangor community. I value every opportunity to support our students and celebrate their achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

I look forward to partnering with the students and families of Bangor Area Middle School to create a supportive and inclusive school community where every student is encouraged to achieve academic excellence, develop strong character, and take pride in being a Slater. Together, we will continue to build a culture of respect, opportunity, school spirit, and Slater Pride!
