Mrs. Smith

I attended the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg where I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology in 1996.  After working for several years as a therapeutic staff support for children with autism, I went back to school and earned my master's degree and Certification in Special Education from East Stroudsburg University in 2003.  I was a learning support teacher in the Pocono Mountain School District for 20 years.  I began working in the district at the middle school in the fall of 2023.  I am married and have two sons and three cats.  I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, playing volleyball, walking, and practicing yoga.  I love that middle school students are highly energetic and have a great sense of humor.  I enjoy building supportive relationships with them as they become more independent learners.
