Mrs. Stahler

Mrs. Stahler

Mrs. Heather Stahler attended Northampton County Community College, The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and The Pennsylvania State University. She has degrees in biology and music education. This is her 15th year of teaching, 5th year in science and 10 years in music. She began working at Bangor Area School District in the fall of 2022, therefore this is her second year at BAMS. Mrs. Stahler enjoys hiking, biking, singing, playing a number of instruments, French horn, trombone, trumpet, flute, piano and guitar, and recording music in her home recording studio. She met her husband while singing karaoke, and he's a musician too! They live in Hellertown with their 14-year-old dog, a soft coated wheaten terrier named Daisy. She also likes to go on ghost tours and solving puzzles. Her favorite thing about teaching middle school is witnessing her students having those "Ah-Ha" moments when they discover something new in science. As a matter of fact, this week, she witnessed an entire class of 7th grade students showing kindness to a moth, and setting it free rather than just smashing it, like most people would do. Moments like those make her proud of her students.
