Mrs. Fukushima

I graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. I returned to ESU to earn my Secondary Teaching Certification. I also earned my Online Teaching Endorsement through ESU. I have been teaching since 2006 and have taught in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Georgia.  This year, I will teach 7th Grade Mathematics, Foundations of Algebra and 8thGrade Mathematics. I am also the Mathematics Department Head and Yearbook Advisor. It is my sixth-year teaching at Bangor. I have also taught at the high school level and enjoy teaching Algebra, Geometry and higher-level math. I have a large family and we are very close. I enjoy spending time with my two kids and friends. My family enjoys traveling, I have traveled to Germany, Hawaii, the Virgin Islands, and 33 of the 50 states. I also enjoy watching sports. I grew up outside of Pittsburgh and love their sports teams. I try to travel to at least one football, hockey, and baseball game each year. My favorite thing about teaching middle school is watching the students grow into young adults. I enjoy watching them find their true interests and become more confident in themselves.
