Mrs. Guth

As a 1998 Bangor graduate, I am excited to return to BAMS for my second year. Following high school, I earned my B.S. in Secondary Education/English from Kutztown University in 2002. I then earned my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Moravian College (University) in 2006. In 2008, I also became a National Writing Project Fellow. I am currently pursuing my M.Ed. in Reading from ESU.
Prior to teaching at BAMS, I taught English at Easton Area High School for 13 years, where I was also a literacy coach, Reading Apprenticeship trainer, and class advisor. I then stayed home for eight years with my five children (ages 5-10) before returning to teaching. I enjoy teaching this age group because the students have incredible potential, and I love seeing them develop as learners and individuals.
Fun facts:
1. I have twin girls.
2. I have run the Boston Marathon (2011 & 2012).
3. I have seen Romeo and Juliet performed at Shakespeare's Globe in London.
